Our neighbors have been incredibly generous to our race participants over the years. As the race has grown so has their participation. Over and over again we hear from finishers how amazing the families are along the course, whether they are offering an extra water stop, a sprinkle from their hose during the heat of the morning, or inspiring shouts of encouragement along the way.
In 2010, our Race Committee announced three special recognition awards for our community. They include the Spirit Award, for the house that offers the most
enthusiasm and encouragement to our walkers and runners, the Most Patriotic Award, for the house with the best decorations and third is the Best All-Around Award for the family that goes all out with both spirit and decoration. Judges are anonymous walkers and runners participating in the Grid event.
All winners will receive a gift certificate to a local restaurant.
