Each year, on the Friday night prior to the race, the community is encouraged to come to Pulaski Elementary School, the starting point of the “I Did The Grid” race, and create with us, a Field of Flags.
The Field of Flags is a display of honor and respect for the individual lives that have been lost in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, lives that have been given out of love and devotion to the country. Each flag displayed represents a person with a name, hometown, family and friends. Each flag represents a person created by God and loved by God. Each flag represents a family in tears.
