Mr. and Mrs. Scherer,
I want to personally thank you for having the honor of winning an award in your son’s name last night at the lacrosse awards dinner. Winning such an award in the name of a marine means more to me than one could ever imagine. One particular reason this means so much to me is because my family and I have determined that Marine Core service will be a part of my future within the next few years. Once again thank you, this is by far the most prestigous, and honorable award I have ever won, and I consider it a privledge to have won it in your son’s name. Semper Fi.
